`UPSTREAM-README.md` is the live pinned upstream license declaration, fetched and checked for the author and explicit CC BY 3.0 statement **before any new sample downloads**. Its SHA256 and exact URL are in `downloads.json`. Local v8 FLACs were reused read-only when already available. `bank.json` records original FLAC and derived WAV hashes. Original pinned files remain in `sources/`.

Modifications: selected seven roots in six-semitone steps, three velocity layers (4/8/12), converted to stereo 24 kHz PCM16 WAV, truncated after 12 seconds. Player uses adjacent velocity-layer linear crossfades, pitch transposition, velocity gain, onset/damper/source-end envelopes, simple optional CC64 sustain and subtle delay reflections. Not the upstream SFZ engine; no hammer/pedal noise samples or sympathetic resonance implementation. No endorsement by Alexander Holm or kinwie implied. Retain this credit, source, license and modification notice when distributing samples or rendered audio.

Lantern Steps composition and fixture are copied unchanged from the prior original deterministic demonstration. Aria learned output/model weights/code are NOT included, invoked or restarted. The prior Aria report warned about memorization and lack of listening clearance; using the deterministic original avoids attributing its learned output as original here. New engine/build/test source is task-authored; no third-party runtime JavaScript is bundled. Chrome/Playwright/ffmpeg are locally installed test/build tools, not redistributed.
